Argentina crushes Brazil with four goals

Before the match, Brazilian winger Rafinha told legendary Romario that Brazil would definitely win this match. Rafinha himself had come betting that he would score. But finding Rafinha on the field at the Estadio Monumental was a different mission. Of course, Rafinha was not the only one, no Brazilian could be found in the Argentine football crowd in that way in terms of performance.

A lot of stories were written for this match in the first half of the match. Argentina scored two goals in the first 20 minutes. When 45 minutes passed, Brazil was behind 3-1. And in the second half, substitute Guiliano Simeone added a little more to Brazil's wound.

Before the match, Argentina received news that their World Cup ticket was confirmed. And they celebrated it by crushing their arch-rivals 4-1. Julián Álvarez, Alexis McAllister, Enzo Fernandez and Guiliano Simeone were on the scoresheet for Argentina. The only goal for Brazil was scored by Mathias Cunha.

Argentina's first two goals at the Estadio Monumental came thanks to perfect team play. In the 4th minute of the match, Nicolas Tagliafico took a pass from De Paul and attacked on the left wing. His great pass was found by Thiego Almada. Alvarez scored from a pass from the attacking midfielder who was in rhythm. Alvarez had no problem getting the ball between two defenders and scoring.

Argentina again found a crack in the Brazilian defense. Alexis McAllister crossed a long way into the Brazilian half alone. From there, Alvarez's foot turned and the ball went to Nahul's Molina. Enzo Fernandez easily finished from a cross from the right. Argentina scored 2 goals in 12 minutes.

However, before the clock turned 30 minutes, Brazil scored a goal. Forward Mathias Cunha, who had a great time at the English club Wolves, got his name on the scoresheet. Christian Romero lost his position with the ball under Cunha's pressure. From there, he finished coolly.

It took Argentina 11 minutes to regain the 2-goal lead. This time, Mac Allister's name was on the scoresheet. Enzo Fernandez chipped the ball back from the corner. Mac Allister made a soft touch in front of the 6-yard box to make it 3-1.

Argentina could have scored their fourth goal at the beginning of the second half. In the 49th minute, Alvarez received a floated ball due to a mistake by the Brazilian defense. He also chipped it from the line of the D-box. But this time, Brazil's goalkeeper Bento was great. He stopped the ball a little behind.

In the 60th minute, Nicolas Tagliafico's header went over the bar. In the 68th minute, Argentina made a change. Almada was replaced by Guiliano Simeone. He needed three minutes to score.

Tagliafico found Enzo Fernandez's quick free-kick from his own half. From there, the pass was to Mac Allister in the box. The Argentine midfielder missed, but the ball went to Simeone. Bento had no way to stop his shot from a long angle. The scoreline was 4-1. This was the first time Brazil had conceded four goals to the Albiceleste since Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick in 2012.

Rafinha came close in the 77th minute. His free-kick touched the bar. Shortly after, Bento skillfully saved Paredes' long-range shot. In the end, Argentina left the field with a 4-1 victory, with neither team scoring a goal.
